The convenor of the Mangaung Service Delivery Forum (MSDF), Mpho Mojanaga, tells OFM News that they will deliberate on issues pertaining to school principals who were hired from outside the province, while there are enough people who are equally qualified for those positions within the province.

He says that they will also look into Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that was awarded unlawfully, and the appointment of community health workers who were not absorbed into the health system, among other things.

“There has been a lot of victimisation and exploitation of these employees, and we want that to be addressed. The Office of the Premier, in particular, and Cogta, have also requested in our memorandum for them to intervene and deal with the matter of Mangaung,” said Mojanaga.

He further adds that even though they are still far from resolving their issues, there are positive signs from the people that they initially engaged with.

OFM News reported that Free State MEC for Police, Roads and Transport, William Bulwane, had accepted a memorandum of grievances from residents who marched to the offices of the premier in the last week.
