Disgruntled Mangaung residents hand over memorandum─── 15:42 Mon, 27 Sep 2021
Free State MEC for Agriculture, William Bulwane, has accepted a memorandum of grievances from residents who marched to the offices of the premier today.
Bulwane accepted the memorandum from the Mangaung Service Delivery Forum (MSDF) on behalf of MEC Montseng Tsiu and Premier Sisi Ntombela
He vowed to share residents’ concerns with the relevant MEC and provide feedback within 7 working days.
This, following a stern warning from leaders of the movement that they have marched for the last time today.
Bulwane, however, says there are issues raised by residents which are complicated, and thus need the attention of the ruling ANC.
Today residents marched through the streets of Mangaung to highlight their issues including nepotism, the absorption of Community Health Workers, job opportunities and service delivery.
The Chairperson of the Mangaung Service Delivery Forum, Potso Motoko, said that if they do not get their desired outcome within seven working days, they will shut down Mangaung.
