Sasco calls on #UFS to revisit decisions─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 05:28 Tue, 22 Feb 2022
The South African Students Congress (Sasco) at the University of the Free State (UFS) in Bloemfontein, has called on the institution to revisit recent decisions that have left many students stranded.
These decisions include turning away students due to a lack of space on campus, and mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations - which led to the arrest of three protesters at the institution on Friday - and the commencement of classes this Monday, following recent indications that there will be no further extension of registrations.
This is allegedly regardless of delayed funding allocation SMSs by financial aid.

In their statement, UFS Sasco vows to support the protesters who were arrested on Friday and requested the university to reconsider their recent decisions regarding students who were told that they cannot register because of a lack of space.
