Three UFS #Covid19 vaccine policy protesters to appear in court soon─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 12:06 Sat, 19 Feb 2022
Three suspects that were arrested during a protest march against the University of Free State's Covid-19 vaccination policy, are expected to appear in court soon.
Free State police spokesperson, Thabo Covane, told OFM News that the suspects were arrested at the institution's grounds in Bloemfontein yesterday afternoon.
He says the University was granted a court order by the Bloemfontein High Court on 22 July 2021. According to him, the protesters were contravening the order.
Cuvane adds that the arrest of the trio comes after they refused to move away from the university's entrance. He said that they were also part of a group that had blocked the University's entrance, and continued to picket on the pavement near the entrance of the institution after police had warned them against blocking the entrance.
