Angry Zastron community demands services─── 10:16 Thu, 14 Apr 2022
Community members of Zastron have demanded a meeting with Centlec and the Mohokare Municipality after they have been left without proper service delivery.
The meeting scheduled for Thursday is to address the inconveniences caused by a lack of water and electricity, and to negotiate alternative ways to assist the community with basic needs while Centlec and the municipality work on maintenance.
According to a source, who preferred to remain anonymous, electricity cables are soaked in water and left open in the streets close to a local school, which is a life-threatening hazard, especially for learners of the school. They further explained that it affects businesses, as day-to-day operations depend highly on electricity, and sometimes water.

"We are confident that once we are able to meet with the Municipal Manager, we will be able to find each other and ensure sustainable solutions to the challenges of service delivery," the source said.
OFM News have sent questions to the municipality and is awaiting a response.
