Residents of Nyakallong Township near Allanridge in the Free State - who were left stranded after a nearby dam overflowed and affected their homes - are to be relocated.
Free State, Premier Sisi Ntombela, has visited the waterlogged houses to view the conditions and the extent of damages that was caused by the overflowing dam.
During her visit, Ntombela announced that affected residents will be relocated to temporary homes and will receive permanent homes at a later stage.
According to a statement by her office, Ntombela also engaged with residents, where they laid bare their issues such unemployment, provision of homes, sites and visible policing in the area.
