CUT students arrested, expected in court─── 16:05 Thu, 30 Jun 2022

Five students were arrested during a protest at the Central University of Technology (CUT) campus in Bloemfontein, in the Free State, on Thursday.
According to a police statement, the students became violent and started pelting security officers and police with stones and bottles. It is alleged the other group of students ran into King Edward Street and disrupted traffic by placing rocks in the road.

The police arrested five male students and cases of public violence and contravening a court order were opened. The students are expected to appear in court on Monday.
