Vaal court postpones kidnapping, murder case against Bangladeshi nationals | News Article

The case against four Bangladeshi nationals who are accused of kidnapping and murdering Rejaul Amin, has been postponed to 3 October 2022 by the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate's Court.

The case has been postponed for a date in the High Court.

Three of the accused are currently out on bail, while accused one remains in custody as he could not afford bail of R10 000.

The four accused were arrested earlier this year after they allegedly kidnapped and killed Amin outside Vanderbijlpark in the Vaal Triangle.

It is further alleged that Amin died after he was tortured. This comes after his family reportedly failed to pay the R2 million extortion money that was demanded.

The family's spokesperson, Mahbubur Rahman, earlier told OFM News that they are happy following this arrest.
