Two arrested for Kestell farm murders─── 12:05 Sat, 16 Jul 2022
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of seven people whose bodies were discovered in their home at Lismor Farm outside Kestell.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, said the police managed to arrest the suspects within 24 hours after the investigating team followed up on information.
The suspects are aged 22 and 34.
“The two were arrested on a road just outside Bohlokong township.

"Two firearms, a shot gun and a pellet gun, believed to have been stolen from the same farm, were also recovered with the possibility that one of the firearms could have been used during the murders.
"For now it can only be confirmed that the young man who was killed was 17 years old, and the six women were aged between 22 and 53.

"We expect the next of kin to confirm their full particulars during the day while formal identification processes unfolds.”
The two suspects are facing charges of seven counts of murder, armed robbery and the unlawful possession of firearms.

They are expected to appear in Kestell’s court on Monday 18 July 2022.
OFM News previously reported that the bodies of the deceased were discovered at a farm outside Kestell on Friday morning by the owner of the farm. The deceased were reportedly workers at the farm.
