'Disbanded IRC tried to push me to resign but failed'─── LUCKY NKUYANE 10:45 Tue, 19 Jul 2022
The speaker of the Bloemfontein-based Mangaung Metro has reacted to the disbandment of the controversial Mangaung Interim Regional Committee (IRC), which recently charged her.
Stefani Lockman-Naidoo tells OFM News that the now disbanded Interim Regional Committee (IRC), which had announced her suspension from the party in February this year, tried to push a narrative and an agenda against her.

She reiterates that the suspension and charges against her by the IRC were a witch hunt led by factions in the ANC to try and get rid of her.

Lockman-Naidoo has shared sentiments of ANC member, Dibata Mokhutle, that the IRCs have no power to charge anyone and all they can do is make recommendations to the provincial coordinator, Paseka Nompondo.
“I have been correctly chosen by the ANC due to my professional qualifications and credentials and will continue executing my functions with excellence. In our meeting with the IPC and councillors a few days ago, the provincial coordinator, Nompondo, has stated that the charges against all councillors are not approved by him as per the ANC Constitution and are unprocedural and illegitimate because the charges relate to matters that have already been dealt with by the ANC's national deployees,” Lockman-Naidoo adds.
