Calm returns to Ventersburg after protest─── 11:04 Tue, 27 Sep 2022
Water has been restored in Ventersburg, and the situation is returning to normal.
This is according to SAPS spokesperson, Peter Kareli, who says roads have been cleared and the protest diffused after water was restored to the community of Ventersburg.
“Currently everything seems to be going back to normal. The N1 is open and free for traffic to flow, as well as the R70. So far we haven’t experienced any groupings or people trying to disturb this free flow of traffic, or who are likely to march. But we are expecting some community members to gather outside the court because the three people who were arrested yesterday, will appear today before the Ventersburg Magistrate’s Court.”
