The project was launched on Thursday (27/7) and will run until the 30th of November 2023.
The Public Servants’ Association (PSA) in the Free State has launched a project aimed at assisting Tswellang Special School in Bloemfontein.
The project's main focus is gathering bottle caps and bread clips in order to raise money to buy 10 wheelchairs for the school.
Volunteers can collect 50 kilograms of bread tags or 450 kilograms of bottle tops in order to purchase one wheelchair.
To achieve the goal of 10 wheelchairs, 4500 kilograms of bottle caps or 500 kilograms of bread tags must be collected.
The following types of plastic bottle tops are accepted: milk, cold drinks, StaSoft, bottled water, cooking oil, and mayonnaise bottle tops.

The PSA recognises the importance of empowering individuals with disabilities and providing them with the necessary tools for a fulfilling life.
The Union of Choice believes that by joining hands and working together, they can make a significant impact on the lives of these students.
Individuals can contribute their bread clips and bottle tops by delivering them to either Tswellang Special School or the PSA Provincial Office, situated at 34 First Avenue, Westdene, Bloemfontein.
The PSA in Bloemfontein is calling on the union members and the public at large to support them in this endeavour.
