A 12-year-old told the social worker the owner of the store had sex with her in return for money.
Free State police have opened a rape case against a 29-year-old foreign national store owner who allegedly raped a 12-year-old in Dealesville.
It was alleged on Thursday (14/9), a social worker received information about a girl who was seen fixing her dress while coming out of a tuck shop. The social worker visited the school attended by the learner and requested to interview her.
During the interview, the complainant told the social worker that the owner of the store always had sex with her in return for money. She alleged the owner would give her R3.
Free State police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng said the suspect was arrested and will appear in the Dealesville Magistrate's Court on Monday (18/9).
