The Gift of the Givers Foundation has continued to plough back into communities by offering relief to those in dire need of assistance.
This time the foundation has drilled a borehole inside the premises of the Kenhardt High School in the Northern Cape. The initiative came after representatives of the organisation, during their recent visit, found out that the school had been without water for two days.

“During our visit, we learned that the school had been without water for the past two days, causing significant inconvenience. The school expressed their appreciation for the borehole, which would enable them to use greywater for their toilets and garden,” said Gift of the Givers’ Emily Thomas.

Thomas said Kai! Garib Mayor Marshall Mathys approached Gift of the Givers to provide clean water to residents of Kenhardt two years ago. The foundation responded by distributing bottles of water and JoJo Tanks were also placed strategically within the community.
Thomas said the drilling of the borehole is the permanent solution to address water challenges faced by the Kenhardt community. The borehole will be providing water to both the school and residents of the small town in the Northern Cape.
