ActionSA President Herman Mashaba is set to announce the premier candidate for the Northern Cape on Wednesday (1/11).

The much-anticipated announcement will take place later this morning in Johannesburg, ahead of voter registration weekend on 18 and 19 November when thousands of South Africans are set to register to be eligible to vote in the 2024 general elections.

Action SA national spokesperson, Samkelo Mgobozi, said the premier candidate “has a long service record with the people of Northern Cape and represents the calibre of leadership ActionSA hopes to bring when the party enters into government”. The earlier planned announcement was rescheduled due to the return of the Springboks on Tuesday morning.

“We can fix the province by ensuring that it delivers quality services’

Mgobozi said the party can fix the province by ensuring that it delivers quality services to all residents. Working to bring hope to South Africans begins with registering them to vote.

“From today, our structures across the country will embark on programmes of taking South Africans to regional IEC offices to register to vote and conduct mobile online voter registration campaigns at various locations.

“We will work tirelessly over the coming weeks, and over the voter registration weekend to ensure that every South African who seeks change for their country is correctly registered to vote.”
