Earlier in the week, the Knights had to share point with the Warriors after no play was possible in Kimberley due to a wet outfield.

The Lions in their turn will be brimming with confidence after beating the Dolphins by 18 runs at Kingsmead.

The Knights captain, Pite van Biljon, tells OFM Sport that Senwes Park is generally very good to them.

“The other night in Kimberley it was disappointing to share points, but we did have a massive storm the previous night, and I was surprised that the field wasn’t waterlogged when the go there.

“It actually drained pretty well, but nonetheless, we had to share points there.

“We are looking forward to the game against the Lions, they have a very good team with a number of Proteas in their line-up.

“We have a couple of young guns that they don’t know and wouldn’t have seen before. Maybe this will be a bit of an x-factor which we can surprise them with.

“Potch has been a good ground for us in the past and we have had quite a bit of success there.

“So, we are really looking forward to playing against the Lions, and hopefully we can get a full game in and show the people what we can do.”

Friday evening’s game gets underway at 18:00, and on Sunday the Knights host the Titans in Kimberley.
