Knights upbeat ahead of 4-Day series resumption─── MORGAN PIEK 06:00 Tue, 02 Mar 2021
The VKB Knights are upbeat about their form in red-ball cricket with the domestic 4-Day series commencing on Saturday.
The Knights are still in a strong position to reach the final of the series as they currently lead the standings in Pool A, but it will be imperative that they get positive results in their two remaining matches.
Both of these games are on the road, and it starts on Sunday against the Titans in Centurion.
The Knights coach, Allan Donald, told OFM Sport that they need to put their disastrous T20 campaign behind them.
“It's the format we have started so well in and built our whole season around.
“With the disappointment of only having played one game in the Momentum One-Day Cup and the disaster of the T20 competition, you can now sit down and go right, let’s tackle this head-on.
“We're only top of the log in our pool and we must make the best of it.”
The good news for the Knights is that they do have the luxury of having the majority of their injured players back, and the dangerous Raynard van Tonder return from his injury in some seriously good form.
Play at SuperSport Park is scheduled to get underway at 10:00 on Sunday morning.
