The Knights hold a slender lead over the Dolphins at the top of Pool A, and a win this week will ensure the central franchise of a home final at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.

The Cobras will be charged up after smashing well over 500 runs in their first innings against the Warriors last week.

The Knights and Proteas batsman, Farhaan Behardien, told OFM Sport that as a team they are pumped up.

“We have an important game coming up against the Cape Cobras in Cape Town, starting on Tuesday.

“Our game against the Titans went really well, even though it was a draw. I thought we played really well in the first innings to get a lead of 150.

“Aiden Markram and Dean Elgar, our Test openers, batted really well to nullify that lead, but we still fought really hard in that game and hopefully we can take some confidence into this week.

“The log is pretty tight for us to get into the final. We are still at the top of our pool, even though the log is a bit tighter because the Dolphins had a really good game against the Lions, and it kind of brought them a bit closer to us.

“If we win this week we will certainly go through to the final.

“We have a big game coming up and the boys are really pumped to give it a good crack this week in Cape Town.”

Play in Cape Town is scheduled to get underway at 10:00 on Tuesday morning.
