Kimberley will play host to the Pool A and D games, while the City of Roses will see the Pool B and C matches.

At the hosts, the Northern Cape Heat are automatically drawn in Pool A of the tournament, and the with face the South Western Districts, as well as the Lions and Western Province.

The Itec Knights in turn are in Pool B for along with the Mpumalanga Rhinos, KwaZulu-Natal Inland Tuskers, and the Northerns Titans.

Pool C will see the Eastern Storm, South Africa U19, North West Dragons and KwaZulu-Natal Coastal Dolphins battle it out.

Pool D features the Eastern Cape Iinyathi, Limpopo Impalas, Eastern Province Warriors, and the Boland Rocks.

The Knights captain, Pite van Biljon, welcomed the draw and told OFM Sport that they will do their homework on the Rhinos and Tuskers.

“There is obviously the unknown factor with the team from KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga, but we will do our homework and research with that.

“The Titans team has been very good over the last few years and they will be competing very hard.

“We've got a good squad and I am sure that the coaches and the senior players will come up with good plans to counter that.

“But it is very exciting for Bloemfontein and Kimberley to be hosting the competition.”

At this stage, the CSA still need to clarify the finer details of the competition and the format for the knockout round.

The tournament will officially start on 24 September with the Pool A games, while Pool B will get underway on the 28th.

Pool D in Kimberley will begin on 4 October, with Pool C get under on the 8th.
