Rilee set for Knights cameo─── MORGAN PIEK 14:46 Fri, 27 Aug 2021
It’s a done deal. The former Proteas batsman, Rilee Rossouw, will be making a return to the Itec Knights, albeit it a only for a short while.
Rossouw has been training with the Knights for the past while, however, he will be playing for the team in the warm-up matches against Namibia.
He will also be available to compete in the upcoming CSA T20 Knockout that will be played in Bloemfontein and Kimberley.
Since signing as a Kolpak player in 2017, Rossouw, hasn't represented South Africa on the international stage again. He has also, however, shifted his focus to the T20 format and has been competing in numerous leagues across the world.
The Knights are in Pool B for the T20 Knockout along with the Titans, Tuskers and Mpumalanga Rhinos.
The Knights host Namibia early in the September before the T20 Knockout starts at the end of the month.
