The Proteas wicketkeeper, Quinton de Kock, has called for consistency from the team ahead of Tuesday’s third and final T20 International in Colombo.
The match will wrap-up the Proteas tour to the subcontinent island, while it will also be their last international before the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
The match on Tuesday is a dead rubber after the Proteas took an unassailable 2-0 lead on Sunday by winning the 2nd T20I by 9 wickets.
De Kock, who scored 58 not out said that he is excited about the team form in T20 cricket and believes that they can claim a first-ever World Cup title later in the year.
“My hunger to win a World Cup is there, especially with this team. I've got a great feeling about this team and I think we're heading in the right direction.
“It would be great to put one of those in the bag. I've been a part of a couple and sadly, we've come short in them.
“There's been some great games but with a lot of disappointment, but it's a big tournament. We're going to give it our best shot, that's for sure. We'll definitely try our hardest and hope the results come our way.
“Hopefully, we take the confidence from this series into the World Cup.”
Play is set to get underway at 15:30 on Tuesday afternoon.
