This comes as the player had made himself unavailable for the important Group 1 fixture.

He has cited personal reasons for his withdrawal.

This sees Heinrich Klaasen taking over the wicketkeeping duties after he was used as just a batter during the opening match against Australia on the weekend in Abu Dhabi.

Reeza Hendricks will open the batting with the captain, Temba Bavuma.

At the toss, Bavuma confirmed that South Africa's most dangerous weapon in the batting, De Kock, will not play.

“He's made himself unavailable for personal reasons.”

Meanwhile, South Africa won the toss and elected to field first.
