The Northern Cape Heat welcome of the drafting of three of their players for the 2022 Mzansi Super League.
The captain, Aubrey Swanepoel, was picked by the CSA T20 Knockout champions, the Itec Knights, while the seamer, Johan van Dyk, will be joining the Titans, and the all-rounder, Evan Jones, will link up with the Dolphins.
The Knights were interested in picking Jones, but instead with the destructive batter, Cameron Delport.
The Heat coach, Mark Charlton, told OFM Sport that their experience will benefit them as a team.
“I'm very happy that Johan van Dyk, Evan Jones and Aubrey Swanepoel have been picked up to play in the MSL T20 for various teams.
“For me it just shows that people value our players and we wish those guys the best of luck when they play in that MSL T20 at the beginning of next year.
“I sure they will come back with a lot of experience from that competition and it would benefit up in the long-term going into the 50-over competition after the MSL T20.”
The MSL T20 is expected to be played in February next year.
