The last time these two teams met in the shortest format of the game, the Knights beat the Dolphins in Kimberley to be crowned the CSA T20 Knockout champions.

While the Dolphins are shying away from using the term ‘revenge’, they do want to set the record straight.

The Free State will be without the dangerous Rilee Rossouw who is currently playing for the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League.

Rossouw scored an unbeaten 67 in their win over Islamabad United on Tuesday.

The Dolphins assistant coach, former Knights seamer Quinton Friend, told OFM Sport that their opponents will miss Rossouw.

“Someone like Rilee Rossouw who did really well in that CSA T20 Knockout competition, is now involved in the Pakistan Super League. Obviously, the Knights will be missing him quite a lot in their T20 squad.

“That will obviously be quite a big blow for the Knights themselves, but in saying that they do have a lot of quality in their squad.”

On Friday, the Knights will play in a friendly match against the Toyota Cheetahs at the Mangaung Oval. While it is an exhibition game, it will also serve as a bit of a warm-up for the tournament in the Friendly City.

Tuesday’s game at St George’s Park gets underway at 14:30.
