The Itec Knights will be targeting a more clinical and all-round performance on Thursday morning when they face the North West Dragons in round two of the CSA T20 Challenge in Gqeberha.
The Knights head into the clash under the pump following their heavy eight wicket defeat to the Dolphins on Tuesday.
The Dragons in their turn will be charged up for the game following their outstanding 11 run victory over the much more fancied Lions.
Knights coach, Allan Donald, told OFM Sport that they as a team battle to rock up for the central derby.
“Strike rotation is just one thing that we talked about. Some days you are just not going to rotate so well and others you're going to do it easily.
“We know that we are going to have to be a lot more clinical in all of those areas.
“We are playing on the shorter side on Thursday and the wicket seems to be getting better.
“We looking forward to Thursday's game and we need to step-up. There is no doubt about that.”
This game at St George’s Park gets underway at 10:00 on Thursday morning. At 14:30 the Dolphins face the Lions.
