Kitshoff expects a good battle against former Cheetah─── MORGAN PIEK 08:37 Thu, 31 Mar 2022
The Stormers expect nothing less than a tough battle upfront when they host the Ospreys on Saturday in the United Rugby Championship.
While the Ospreys lost to the Lions at Ellis Park on Saturday, the Stormers expect the team from Swansea to come hard at them and due to the game played at sea level they will be able to put in an 80-minute performance.
The Stormers in their turn will want to improve on their 23-20 win over Ulster.
The Springbok loosehead prop, Steven Kitshoff, expects a tough challenge from the former Cheetahs tighthead, Tom Botha.
“Tom is an old schoolmate of mine. We were just a year apart at Paul Roos,” said the World Cup winner.
“It’s going to be fun playing against him. I actually followed his career somewhat over the years and I think he has done really well for himself. He is playing well for the Ospreys.
“It’s going to be interesting and I am looking forward to it. There are going to be some old memories coming up when I play against him.”
Saturday’s game at the Cape Town Stadium kicks off at 18:15.
