The Tuskers topped the standings with five wins from their six games, while the Heat won four-times.

The Heat all-rounder, Evan Jones, who scored 213 runs and took 8 wickets in the six games told OFM Sport that it’ a massive opportunity for a season double.

“It's a massive privilege and very special to be playing in two finals in one season.

“The just showcases the effort that the union, Norther Cape Cricket has put in. It was a very special effort from their side.

“Then our coach, Mark Charlton, I think has been incredible bringing about bunch players together this season and working each one individual. I think it has been awesome.

“Playing in two finals in one season is awesome. Hopefully we can end the season on a high.”

Earlier in the season the Heat won Division 2 of the CSA 4-Day Series for Northern Cap Crickets first silverware in more than 20 years.

Friday's final at the Pietermaritzburg Oval gets underway at 10:00.
