SA 'A' keen for a full game of cricket─── MORGAN PIEK 08:20 Fri, 29 Apr 2022
South Africa ‘A’ are hoping to get a full game of cricket in during the third match of their unofficial One-Day International series against Zimbabwe XI in Harare.
The series is deadlocked at 1-1 with each team winning.
Both of the matches were determined by the Duckworth-Lewis method after bad light brought an early close to play.
Zimbabwe won the first game, while South Africa leveled the series on Wednesday with a 51-run victory.
The Itec Knights seamer, Gerald Coetzee, told OFM Sport that it has been a frustrating series thus far.
“The boys are very eager to get a full game of cricket in. It's been quite frustrating to win and lose a game according to Duckworth-Lewis regarding bad light.
“It's not often heard of in white-ball cricket.
“Both games have been unfortunate - you'd rather lose outright than by the DLS-method.
“Especially in the first game. It would have gone to the last over and I think it would have been exciting.”
Play for the 3rd unofficial ODI gets underway at 9:15 on Friday morning.
