The series is currently deadlocked at one win a piece and it’s all to play for this afternoon.

South Africa will back themselves for the series win following their outstanding eight-wicket win on Monday to level matter.

The opening batter, Lara Goodall, who scored 52 in the game said she wants to use the opportunity to establish herself in the team and the onus is on her to get the side off to a good and solid start with the willow.

“As an opener I feel like no matter what team you're playing in, you set the tone, especially in T20 cricket.

“The innings goes so quickly, when you look up against eight or nine overs have gone by. You can't get lost in the game.

“I feel that it's matter of taking the responsibility and getting the team off to a good start.

“We don't have out seniors here who normally play in the opening role. Having said that, it's an opportunity for our young side.”

Play at Pembroke is set to get underway at 17:30 on Wednesday afternoon.
