Boucher delighted to have in-form Rossouw back─── MORGAN PIEK 15:00 Tue, 12 Jul 2022
The Proteas coach, Mark Boucher, has welcomed the inclusion of the Knights batter, Rilee Rossouw, for the T20 International series on their tour to England.
Rossouw is back in the national setup for the first time in six years after he opted to put his international career on hold in order to take up a Kolpak contract.
The left-handed batter has been in destructive form since making his return to domestic cricket for the Knights last season.
Boucher told OFM Sport that Rossouw will no doubt add value.
“Rilee has been in our system before and he has also played in our domestic season and he is performing all around the world.
“He was the standout player in our domestic season which is the reason we first of all started looking at him.
“He has just been doing really well while playing all around the world.
“That is the situation. He has been in this environment before and it's about getting him back in and using his skillset.”
The first T20 International between England and the Proteas in Bristol will be played on 27 July.
