The three-Test series is all-square after South Africa won at Lords, while the English leveled matters at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Thus far each of the two previous Tests lasted only three days and the Proteas will be looking to play a full game.

The Proteas captain, Dean Elgar, said that it’s important to focus on the now as opposed to the then.

“It’s like a World Cup final for us, that’s how I’m viewing it,” said the Free State born-and-bred cricketer.

“This is huge, it’s massive for us. I’ve never experienced a Test series win against England in my 10 years in the team.

“It would be an unreal feeling personally, but massive for the younger guys in the changeroom.”

Play at the Oval in Kensington is scheduled to get underway on Thursday at noon.
