The Knights picked their squad for the important match against the defending champions based on which players tend to perform well in Centurion.

Last week, Pretorius was rested for the season-opening match against the North West Dragons in Bloemfontein.

The Knights coach, JP Triegaardt, told OFM Sport that they are quietly confident heading into the match.

"It's going to be a hard game for us, but we are up for the challenge," said Triegaardt.

"The big thing for me when it comes to four-day cricket, or any competition, is horses for courses."

"We need to identify what the conditions produce and what type of players suit those conditions, then try to get the best and get us a first win in the four-day competition.

"We are very excited about heading to Centurion and I have full faith in the boys."

Play at SuperSport Park is scheduled to start at 10:00.
