The Itec Knights claimed their first win of the CSA One-Day Cup on Sunday by beating the Warriors by 5 wickets in Bloemfontein.
The Warriors had the bat first at the Mangaung Oval and were bowled out for 222-runs in 48 overs.
The Warriors were well in control of the match, with the score at 153 runs after 29 overs, when they lost their third wicket.
The Knights bowlers then managed to take wickets at regular intervals to restrict the visitors to a below-par score.
Tristan Stubbs top-scored for the Warriors with 46, while Wihan Lubbe and Diego Rossier each scored 45.
Mbulelo Budaza was the pick of the Knights bowlers with 3/35 in eight overs.
Patrick Botha and Patrick Kruger, the Knights' all-rounders, scored 60 not out and 55 not out respectively to help them reach the target in 47 overs.
The captain, Pite van Biljon, told OFM Sport: "We had to dig deep before this game to get ready mentally and get our skills in a position where we could implement our gameplan."
"It was a really tough week and a half for us, as we knew that we were probably not in our best form.
"We needed this win and we're very happy about that. The team is in a much better space now as well.
"Hopefully the fans can get behind us now and we can get on a roll and maybe have a chance for the playoff games."
The Knights host the Rocks on Wednesday in Bloemfontein in their next fixture.
