SA20 Final postponed to reserve day─── KAYLA BARKER 18:08 Sat, 11 Feb 2023

The SA20 Final between Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape has been postponed due to a waterlogged field and weather. The match that was supposed to take place today, will start at 13h30 on Sunday, 12 February, the scheduled reserve day.
With an abundance of rainfall over the past week, the ground preparation for the match was compromised. The pitch remained under cover for three days and with more rain predicted for the remainder of today a rescheduled game was the best option.
The SA Weather Service has predicted a clearer outlook for Sunday and the game is set to go ahead without hassle.
Graeme Smith, SA20 League Commissioner, said: “We’ve engaged the match officials, teams, groundsman, stakeholders and the SA Weather Service, and postponing the match is the best decision to allow for the possibility of a full match in drier conditions. We want to give the teams and spectators a memorable final.”
The SA20 final will take place at the Wanderers in Johannesburg at 13:30 on Sunday, the 12th of February.
