The ITEC Knights will be in action again on Tuesday for their second game of the CSA One-Day Cup in Division 2.

The Knights will be in action against the South Africa Emerging team in Bloemfontein and this will be their first home game of the season.

The Knights go into the game with confidence following a good 12-run win against the defending champions the Garden Route Badgers in Oudtshoorn on Saturday.

The captain of the Knights, Aubrey Swanepoel, told OFM Sport that it will be important to back the weekend's performance up with another win.

“Firstly, we are very grateful for the win on Saturday as we made it very difficult for ourselves,” said Swanepoel.

“As we move on for the game against the Emerging SA team, I think the guys are ready and we're looking forward to another opportunity to represent the Knights.

“As we are Division 2, we know that there is no room for slip-ups as we are seeking to get promoted, so hopefully we can just fire on all cylinders and gel as a team.

“Dian Forrester did something unbelievable on his debut and we never know whose day it might be on Tuesday, but we are playing for the Free State, we will play for the team and we will play for ourselves on Tuesday.”

Play at the Mangaung Oval is scheduled to get underway at 10:00.
