“It's been really good - I worked through the whole of December back home at the Wanderers. I got to work every single day to get my hip nice and strong.”
The Proteas Women will get their tour of Australia underway this week with the first T20 International against the world champions in Canberra.
The Proteas are on tour down-under and will play in three T20 Internationals, two One-Day Internationals and a once-off Test.
South Africa has received a major boost with the return of their vice-captain and allrounder, Chloe Tryon, from injury.
Chloe said she is ready for the big series both physically as well as mentally.
“It's been really good - I worked through the whole of December back home at the Wanderers. I got to work every single day to get my hip nice and strong,” said the ever-competitive allrounder.
“Everything's really good and I'm happy to be here and be cleared completely. I am really excited to be part of a big series.
“I love the area, I love the place and there are really good cricket facilities and you're playing the best in the world.
“It's been a while since we've had a series against them, so it's really exciting.
“A lot of youngsters are coming in with a lot of experience from the older ones. It's going to be a nice tour and a challenging one for us.”
The first T20 International in the Australian capital city will be played on Saturday and gets underway at 1:45am.
