Australia looks in fine form to win the second Test against India in Adelaide. Australia were all out for 337, a lead of 157, in reply to India’s first innings total of 180 on day two of the day-night test on Saturday.

The day belonged to home-boy Travis Head, who scored a magnificent 140 off 141 balls, ably supported by Marnus Labuschagne, who scored 64 off 126 balls

"When they’ve got the quality of quicks that they’ve got, I guess you’ve got to target something,” Head told Reuters after the day’s play, explaining why he targeted Ravichandran Ashwin, India’s only spinner.

“I felt like I navigated through his spells really, really well, and was able to get the quicks back at certain stages into that new ball.”

Jasprit Bumrah (4-61) and Mohammed Siraj (4-98) were the pick of the Indian bowlers.

With two hours to go before stumps, India once again failed to get the innings going.  KL Rahul was the first to be dismissed for only 7 (off 10 balls). Scott Boland then removed Yashasvi Jasiwal (24) and Virat Kohli (11) to leave India teetering once again on 66 for three.

India’s fourth wicket, Shubman Gill, came courtesy of Mitchell Starc, who bowled Gill on 28. Australia’s captain Pat Cummins removed his Indian counterpart Rohit Sharma for six shortly before the end of the day’s play, with India still 29 runs behind.

Rishab Pant (28 not out) and Nitish Reddy (15 not out), will resume Indian’s innings tomorrow on day three, but Australia looks set to easily level the series at 1-1.
