The former Bloemfontein golfer, Dean Burmester, has qualified to play in The Open for the first time in his career.
The two-time European Tour winner will be teeing it up at The Royal St George's Golf Club in Sandwich, England, next week.
The 32-year-old has experienced a stellar season on the European Tour which saw him winning the Tenerife Open, as well as earning three top 10 finishes.
It will only be the third time that Burmester plays in a major after previously having played in the 2018 US Open and the 2021 PGA Championship.
