The 15-time major champion, Tiger Woods, has been included in the field for next month's 88th Masters at Augusta in Georgia.

The five-time Masters champion is now ranked 933rd in the world.

The 48-year-old Woods has not played since withdrawing from last month's Genesis Invitational at Riviera.

Woods made the cut in his 23rd consecutive Masters start last year, tying South Africa's Gary Player and the USA's Fred Couples for the longest streak in the tournament's history, but he withdrew in the third round.

The last time Woods won the Masters was in 2019.

Meanwhile, on three South Africans are confirmed in the field for the first major of the year. The tall amateur, Christo Lamprecht, will be teeing it up, while Erik van Rooyen as well as the former champion, Charl Schwartzel, will be in action.

The Masters will be played from 11 to 14 April.
