Xander Schauffele of the USA managed to hold on to the lead following the incomplete second round of the PGA Championship being played at the Valhalla Golf Course in Louisville, Kentucky.

The second round of the year's second major was suspended due to darkness and will resume earlier on Saturday.

Schauffele fired a three-under-par 68 on Friday to move up to 12-under-par and one-stroke lead. He countryman, Collin Morikawa, made a big move of Friday with a solid seven-under-par 65 to move up to second on 11-under, while Sahith Theegala produced another consistent round of five-under-par 67 to remain the hunt on 10-under.

World number one and Master champion, Scottie Scheffler, also made a big move by climbing eight places on the leaderboard to 9-under-par for a share of fourth with Bryson DeChambeau, Mark Hubbard, and Thomas Detry of Belgium.

Dean Burmester of Bloemfontein remains the leading South African in the field and he also made a big move with four-under-par, however, his second round is incomplete and on Saturday he still has to play two holes. He is however in a share of 16th at the moment and this can change on Saturday. But it is safe to say that we will make the cut to continue the weekend at Valhalla.
