Disturbing videos are being distributed on social media of Pretoria schoolboys who severely suffer and need medical attention after allegedly smoking a drug called Herbal.
Rumours are doing the rounds that twelve boys have been treated and six have already passed away.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, says there is no truth to this. He confirms the paramedic in the video is from ER24 and has treated three fourteen-year-old boys. They were all taken to the hospital and there were no recorded deaths.
The herbal mixture is allegedly legal, which complicates the task of the police. It is possible that something harmful could have been cut into this drug. Boys who have smoked it needed medical attention. Angry members of the community now demand that a local tobacco shop in Pretoria Gardens be closed down.
