JSE nears 10-year low─── 20:00 Mon, 29 Oct 2018

It's been the worst of times for the JSE, and there are concerns that the downturn will continue.
The stock exchange is likely to record its worst monthly performance in a decade.
The all-share index fell to a 15-month low last week on the verge of bear market territory.
The fluctuations in global markets have led to almost every major asset class falling into the negative this year.
But it's been a tough time worldwide.
In the US, tech stocks took a beating last week, with the results of Amazon and Alphabet reigniting a sell-off.
At the same time, the JSE has appointed Zarina Bassa and Faith Khanyile as independent non-executive directors from 1 November.
Bassa will chair the JSE's group SRO oversight committee and be a member of the Group Risk Management Committee.
Khanyile will join the JSE's Group Audit Committee and Group SRO Oversight Committee.
