Two more suspects are expected to appear before the Harrismith Magistrate's Court in the Free State on Monday on charges of dealing in drugs.
This follows after they were arrested on Friday on the N3 near Harrismith.
The provincial spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo, says a 36-year-old foreign national and his passenger, a 27-year-old South African woman, were arrested for dealing in drugs with an estimated value of R600 000.
She says that police searched the vehicle and found eight plastic bags containing crystal meth weighing 1.2kg hidden under the dashboard.
Meanwhile, OFM News earlier reported that a 29-year-old taxi driver, who was allegedly travelling from Johannesburg to Durban, was arrested on the N3 near Harrismith at a roadblock after khat plants - which is said to contain a stimulant that causes excitement, loss of appetite, and euphoria - worth an estimated value of R327 000, was found in his possession.
