The Stings beat the in-form and confident Crinums 45-35 in the capital city.

It was the first defeat of the 2021 league for Burta de Kock's ladies and it has also given the champions, the Jaguars, some breathing room at the top of the log.

De Kock conceded that from the onset it was a tough battle and a lack of consistency ultimately cost them.

‘’From the beginning, it was tough. It was hot water. The players were not consistent, we know they can do it but the moment something went wrong we couldn’t capitalise."

While it is far from panic stations for the Crinums they will want to rebound quickly when they face the Kingdom Stars on Thursday afternoon at 13:00.

Meanwhile, the North West Flames suffer a heavy 57-29 defeat at the hands of the Jaguars. On Thursday afternoon at 17:00, the Flames face the Fireballs.
