The Free State Crinums stumbled to another defeat at the Telkom Netball League, this time at the hands of the defending champions, the Jaguars. This despite a valiant fight by the Crinums.
The Jaguars got off to a blistering start to take the first quarter 12-7, while at half-time they extended their lead to 25-14.
From the third quarter the Crinums came back into the game, but there were still far too much missed attempts on goal and basic errors crept in.
The Crinums won the 3rd quarter to trail by 35-25 but in the 4th and final quarter they dominated play, but it was too little too late to prevent a 42-39 defeat.
On Sunday at 10:00 the Crinums will be in action against the Southern Sting again.
This will be the Crinums last game during the first leg of the Telkom Netball League. The second leg of the national league will be contested from 9-17 October in Rustenburg.
