The event on the outskirts of the City of Roses will serve as the pre-nationals for the third round of the national championship taking place at the same track next month.

The former national champion, Tyson Engelbrecht, told OFM Sport that several riders from across the country will also compete tomorrow.

“A lot of champions from Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape will all be here this weekend.

“They will be trying to learn the track and get an edge on the competition for the upcoming nationals next month.

“I myself won't be competing this weekend, but I will definitely be in action on the 14th trying to represent Bloemfontein and the Free State and chasing a national championship this year.”

The third round of the SA Nationals will take place on 14 May.
