Rhenish of Stellenbosch remain the team to beat going into the final day of the 2025 Fairtree Super12 Hockey Tournament, being played at Hoër Meisieskool Oranje in Bloemfontein.
The country’s top-ranked side stayed unbeaten on Friday, topping the Pool A standings ahead of the knockout rounds.
Rhenish saw off both Bloemfontein teams on the day to keep their perfect record intact. In the morning, goals from Leah du Plessis, Nicola van der Merwe, and Katherine Sickle secured a 3–0 win over Oranje. In the afternoon, Phillipa Viljoen bagged a brace as Rhenish edged Eunice 2–1. Eunice’s goal came courtesy of their inspirational captain, Bianca Rees-Gibbs.

Bloemhof experienced mixed fortunes on Friday. They went down 1–0 to Eunice, thanks to a Claire Volschenk strike, but bounced back in the afternoon with a 1–0 victory over Waterkloof, courtesy of Leila van Zyl’s goal.
