Free State thrash Boland in Craven Week opener─── MORGAN PIEK 13:09 Mon, 17 Jul 2017

The Free State U18 team opened their 2017 Craven Week team with a comprehensive 81-26 drubbing of Boland at St Stithians College in Johannesburg on Monday.
The SA Schools Sevens star, Henk Cilliers, crossed the white-wash four times of tries as Boland were outclassed in every aspect of the game.

The hooker, Ruhan Greyling, nearly scored a hat-trick, however, what could have been his second try wasn’t award, due to it being a double movement and thus he had to settle for a brace.
The Free State flyhalf, Christopher Schreuder, scored 26 of his side’s points with 9 conversions, a penalty and a try.
Boland scored two tries with Romeo Eksteen dotting down in the 44th minute and the speedy Larren Buys flying over in the final minute for a consolation try.
The Boland flyhalf, JP Viviers, was on song with the boot and recorded a 100% effort with 4 penalties and 2 conversions.
He did also dot down under the posts, however, it was from a knockout and after consulting with the TMO the try was disallowed.
