Motorsport enthusiasts have something to look forward to with the revised Formula 1 calendar set to commence next month.

To date eight races have been scheduled and the first event will take place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, during the weekend of 3 to 5 July.

The second race will also take place at Spielberg a week later.

Silverstone in England has also been awarded two races, while there are events set for Hungaroring in Hungary, Catalunya in Spain, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, and Monza in Italy as well.

F1 pundit, Sasha Martinengo, told OFM Sport that he is certainly excited.

“I think that is incredible what the world of Formula 1 together with various promotors, together with various governments have managed to put together in order to go racing safely from July.

“Two races in Austria, and of course two in the United Kingdom. Then we’ve got Italy, Belgium and Spain on the calendar as well.

“I think that it’s going to be really exciting, but it is going to be interesting to watch without spectators.

“It just shows you that with really hard work and decisive planning things can get done.

“I am really looking forward to it, as I am sure are millions and millions of fans around the world.

“Let’s go racing.”

Further races will be added to the calendar in the coming weeks.
