Cheetahs sweating over De Bruin─── MORGAN PIEK 14:35 Mon, 16 Nov 2020
The Toyota Cheetahs are sweating over the fitness of the tighthead prop, Luan de Bruin, ahead of this week's SuperRugby Unlocked clash against the Tafel Lager Griquas.
De Bruin, who was set to play his last game for the Cheetahs, left the field on Saturday during the 30-13 defeat to the Stormers with a bicep injury.
De Bruin will be leaving the Cheetahs at the end of this month to resume his career in England and Scotland.
Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that they will have more clarity on the injury today.
“Boan (Venter) will be fine, it was only cramping.
“Luan in his turn injured his bicep. We are still not sure how serious it is, but he will have scans on Monday.
“He was definitely injured, that's why he came off, but we will know on Monday.”
Saturday’s game between the Cheetahs and Griquas at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 16:30.
